Starting on the first of October 2021, the Austin Police Department has launched a new yearlong policy in an effort to decrease drinking and driving. For the next year, APD will essentially be able to draw your blood to measure your blood alcohol concentration level whenever they want, even without your consent.

To break down the new policy and what it means for you, we wrote an article for Do512 with all the details. You can read it here.
